THE EVIL EYE

Sura 113:
1. Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn
2. From the mischief of created things;
3. From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads;
4. From the mischief of those who practise secret arts;
5. And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy.

My first encounter with the "evil eye" hit me quite unprepared. I was roughly imprisoned with my baby and milk bottle in my mother's bedroom because a distant relative who was said to have had the "evil eye" came to visit the house. Later, I noticed that she was treated and treated with the utmost courtesy and courtesy so that she would remain friendly, but she would also breathe a sigh of relief when she left the house, hoping to get away undamaged. If a vase or other object broke, one was glad to have got off lightly again, but woe to a child who got hurt or someone got sick.

A widespread popular belief in the Orient is the belief in the "evil eye". Most illnesses, misfortunes and misfortunes are allegedly caused by him.
It is believed that some people have the power or the power to harm persons, animals or objects by looking or "looking".

The fear of the "evil eye" has spread to Islam as it spread in the Near and Middle East, with the Babylonians and Assyrians. These believed in witches whose weapon was the "evil eye" and the "evil word".

One of the many stories handed down from the life of the Prophet Mohamed shows that he, too, believed in the power of the evil eye. A mother, who was with her infant near the Prophet, recommends that, before the arrival of a certain person, a large stone be wrapped in the shawl instead of the baby, and that her child be placed in an adjoining room. When the woman, after leaving the visit, unwraps this stone, he is split by the "evil eye", which was the child.

Since the belief in the "evil eye" is linked to Islam through these stories and narratives, the fear of it is still widespread today and deeply rooted in the popular strata. So you learn to deal with it quickly, and if something happens to you, you are looking for the person who has considered one with a "evil eye". Surprisingly, one quickly finds some who would be credited with having begrudged you the holiday trip, leaving the car halfway there. That they liked a new little kitten, so that it disappeared inexplicably! That they envied you the new gold jewelry, so that it was stolen! That...

For today one connects the "evil eye" with envy, both are inseparably connected. There is also the opinion that a supernatural power can work indirectly through the "evil eye" without the man who possesses the "evil eye" being guilty. The consequences are caused unconsciously by him, whereby it can not be ruled out that one suspects malicious people also, with the help of their "evil eye" to harm others strongly.

Particularly at risk are children, pregnant women, brides and of course everything that is valuable and expensive. It can also happen that you have to fear your own admiring glance in the mirror, because the "evil eye" can also hit you.

It can generally be said that any kind of damage is due to the "evil eye". Tear my new dress or spill tea over it, break the heel on the oh-so-comfortable shoes, suddenly go through the so laboriously pulled leaf plant or the beloved kitten is run over by a car, etc., etc ... - all this can "evil Eye "or the" evil eye "caused. The effect is especially dangerous when the envious person disguises himself and, instead of his jealousy, pronounces admiration and praise.

But you are not completely exposed to the "evil eye". There are repellents and counter-spells in the form of written amulets, certain gems, animal pictures, herbs and mainly blue pearls, eye images, hand amulets and hand-replicas, as well as small slippers or baby shoes (often seen in taxis and trucks) - all of this and more Another region is protection against envy and the "evil eye".
